Save the Date for CV Stonewall's Leadership Awards Brunch

CV Stonewall will be holding their 4th Annual Leadership Awards on Saturday, August 18th at Stockton's Magnolia Mansion.  The event will feature an awards reception, European brunch, and mimosa bar.

The CV Stonewall Leadership Awards is a chance to recognize LGBT civic leaders whose work and inspiration positively impacts their community.  CV Stonewall's Fundraising Committee is currently accepting nominations for the following award categories:

Political Action

Community/Volunteer Effort

Business Leader

Youth Accomplishment

To nominate, send an email to communications@cvstonewall.org with the name of your candidate, the award category, and a short description as to why you believe your candidate exemplifies LGBT leadership in the given category.  The deadline for nominations is June 1st, 2012.

CV Stonewall Reveals their 2012 Primary Endorsements!

Last Sunday, CV Stonewall met to hear from some of the most promising local and state Democratic candidates.  After a round of inspiring addresses followed by questions and answers, the candidates were dismissed and CV Stonewall members went about discussing which candidates they felt were most promising in representing the needs and concerns of their LGBT constituents.  It was a night of political action at its finest.

The final result was a list of strong Democratic candidates who aren't afraid to advocate for the rights of their fellow human beings, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.

The following are those candidates who have been endorsed by the Central Valley Stonewall Democratic Club:

Each candidate was awarded an undisclosed amount of campaign contributions to help them in their primary race.

CV Stonewall will meet again in September during their regularly scheduled business meeting in order to discuss general election endorsements.
