The Central Valley Stonewall Democratic Club is beginning its endorsement of Central Valley Democratic candidates who are running for public office. As one of those candidates, we would like to Democrats running for office and appear on the June 2016 ballot to participate in our endorsement process.
The first step is for you to complete the attached Central Valley Stonewall Democratic Club Candidate Questionnaire. Your answers can be as long or short as you prefer. You are certainly not limited to the space provided and you are free to use additional sheets of paper. Your responses will be provided to the membership and are therefore public information. You need to sign and date the last page, and scan the questionnaire to Stonewall.PAC@gmail.com by April 3, 2016. No candidate will be considered without a completed questionnaire.
Additionally, you are invited to address the general membership at our March 24, 2016 meeting which will begin at 6pm and will be held at the San Joaquin Pride Center - 109 N Sutter Street, Stockton.
To be endorsed by the Central Valley Stonewall Democratic Club, a candidate must receive the "yes" votes of at least 60% of the members present at the meeting. If no candidate receives a 60% "yes" vote, then the membership may choose not to endorse a candidate for that race. Endorsed candidates may receive financial support from the Club.
The PAC committee will convene in early April to make endorsement recommendations which will be voted on and announced at our April 17, 2016 membership mixer to be held at 4pm at 245 West Rose Street, Stockton. Financial contributions will be mailed directly to campaign committees as listed on your questionnaire.
We look forward to your response and respect your decision to run for public office. If you have any questions please contact Stonewall at 209-403-6722 or Stonewall.PAC@gmail.com.
